Sonic The Hedgehog

In 1991, a blue hedgehog was born, running and flying around to defeat an evil scientist who has imprisoned animals in robots and stole emeralds. Sonic The Hedgehog was given to us by Sega. Sonic début on the 16-Bit Sega Genesis  with amazing colours for that era and an interesting character with a unique attitude whose mission was to defeat a villain named Dr.Robotnik and save his friends. In 1992,  Sonic The Hedgehog 2 was introduced and it featured Miles Tails Prower who you can play alone or along Sonic. Sonic 2 had striking awesome colours and fast paced plat-forming. Later then Sega produced other consoles that did not feature Sonic and it was not compatible which then Sonic started falling down hill. Sonic extreme was developed in fully 3D and you could play it on the new Sega consoles but it was extremely bad having a weird fish eye lens camera that doesn't capture all edges therefore it was cancelled and replaced with Sonic 3D Blast. That was not a saviour though having the worst designed tiles and its game-play was slow and boring. The Sonic team was failing and its not their fault it was Sega's poor deadlines and expectations. In 1999, Dream Cast a Sega console was introduced in North America and it was the last Sega console that lasted from 1999 until 2002 bringing with it a finished Sonic game called Sonic Adventure. Sonic Adventure was a 3D game were our tiny hedgehog and his friends has voices and and game-play was fun but the camera lens was poor for its angle shots. It was later fixed in Sonic Adventure 2 in 2002, it also had positive reviews for its smooth game-play  and sound tracks but people were still not satisfied. In 2006, X-BOX 360 and PS3 adopted Sonic and it was tedious and bazaar especially that the plot was a romantic story between the hedgehog and a human princess which repel people off. Finally, the glimpse of hope for sonic was in 2011 Sonic colour and Sonic generations celebrating its 20th anniversary upgraded in a truly great plat-formers. Its disappointing to have such an amazing game in the 90's and get excited every time for each new release and then end up with disappointments and it was clear that Sega's founders became too confident after its first two successes in the 90's that they were high on success to realize its failing. We shall all remember though and learn from  what sonic would say  "Do I need a reason to help out a friend?"
