3d vs 2d games
2D games are typically Scrollers. The first Super Mario Bros. on NES fits one type of Scroller ( you can't move backwards in that unfortunately). Your avatar is flat. You can move left, right, up, and down. There are several types of 2D games,.. several styles. So beyond that flat avatar and those directions of movement, it is hard to find any other constant. A 3D game usually suggest the incorporation of Depth. If you were to look into details on the Dimensions, Depth is the third Dimension. So the term holds up in reality as well. 3D basically just means it has more than 2 dimensions. COD and Skyrim are 3D because you can see more than one side of them. (You can see their faces, bodies, etc.) 3D can also be used for a 3D movie but it can also mean what I just said. And extreme gaming, just means you get a game(s) and no life it for a while, playing it for most of your time.

Halo
"Halo Killer" became part of the gaming lexicon, applied to any title that presumed to take the crown from the most successful first-person shooter of its time. Only one other franchise has arguably made that climb (that'd be Call of Duty). But nothing else can claim billions of online matches played, hundreds of accolades and awards, a highly successful multimedia empire, sales records shattered by more sales records, and a launch that single-handedly turned a two-horse console race into a three-way war. Halo was itself a game-changer, simultaneously putting new and untested hardware on the map while announcing the end of PC-shooter dominance with authority.
Flappy Bird
Dong Nguyen designed Flappy Bird , an extremely addictive game to play for 28 days and if you didn't download it then you never get to have it ! Nguyen the Vietnamese developer decided for it to be gone forever simply because it was way to addictive. On April 2013 the first Flappy Bird was out and it was called flap flap, the game had Nintendo style graphics. On Dec. 3, 2013, Flappy Bird officially entered the overall App Store charts, coming in at 1308 in the U.S. At this time, the game was ranked 74 in Family and 395 in U.S. games.
GTA
Grand Theft Auto , for me is an awesome game but for others could be offensive. Basically, its a game were you can shoot people , do missions for gangs, hijack cars, steal money from people and pick up prostitutes. The first game that was developed was in 1997 " Grand Theft Auto " and you could play it on PS1 console and Windows MS-DOS; it was a top view. David Jones and Mike Dailly are the first to develop and create GTA before the brothers Dan and Sam Houser, Leslie Benzies and Aaron Garbut took over the rest of the series of games. GTA was inspired from a flaw of another game " Race N Chase". Then " Race N Chase" sued GTA with a 1 billion dollar lawsuit. Grand Theft Auto has been accused for being a violent and vulgar game and a lot of parents are against buying it for their children. I do agree that it is not for children but its so much fun for adults.

Donkey Kong
Before Mario or any jump and run plat-former, Donkey Kong was developed in 1981 by Shigeru Miyamotu. Shigeru developed Donkey Kong but did not even know its rules. Donkey Kong established Nintendo as the industry's longest standing super power. Donkey Kong features a gorilla, the games of the first genre in a single screen platform-action puzzle type featured Mario as an opponent.

Sonic The Hedgehog
In 1991, a blue hedgehog was born, running and flying around to defeat an evil scientist who has imprisoned animals in robots and stole emeralds. Sonic The Hedgehog was given to us by Sega. Sonic début on the 16-Bit Sega Genesis with amazing colours for that era and an interesting character with a unique attitude whose mission was to defeat a villain named Dr.Robotnik and save his friends. In 1992, Sonic The Hedgehog 2 was introduced and it featured Miles Tails Prower who you can play alone or along Sonic. Sonic 2 had striking awesome colours and fast paced plat-forming. Later then Sega produced other consoles that did not feature Sonic and it was not compatible which then Sonic started falling down hill. Sonic extreme was developed in fully 3D and you could play it on the new Sega consoles but it was extremely bad having a weird fish eye lens camera that doesn't capture all edges therefore it was cancelled and replaced with Sonic 3D Blast. That was not a saviour though having the worst designed tiles and its game-play was slow and boring. The Sonic team was failing and its not their fault it was Sega's poor deadlines and expectations. In 1999, Dream Cast a Sega console was introduced in North America and it was the last Sega console that lasted from 1999 until 2002 bringing with it a finished Sonic game called Sonic Adventure. Sonic Adventure was a 3D game were our tiny hedgehog and his friends has voices and and game-play was fun but the camera lens was poor for its angle shots. It was later fixed in Sonic Adventure 2 in 2002, it also had positive reviews for its smooth game-play and sound tracks but people were still not satisfied. In 2006, X-BOX 360 and PS3 adopted Sonic and it was tedious and bazaar especially that the plot was a romantic story between the hedgehog and a human princess which repel people off. Finally, the glimpse of hope for sonic was in 2011 Sonic colour and Sonic generations celebrating its 20th anniversary upgraded in a truly great plat-formers. Its disappointing to have such an amazing game in the 90's and get excited every time for each new release and then end up with disappointments and it was clear that Sega's founders became too confident after its first two successes in the 90's that they were high on success to realize its failing. We shall all remember though and learn from what sonic would say "Do I need a reason to help out a friend?"
